Magistrate Judge Rushfelt Retirement

On September 12, 2018, recalled Magistrate Judge Gerald L. Rushfelt retired after 33 years of dedicated public service.  Judge Rushfelt was appointed as a United State Magistrate Judge on September 9, 1985, and retired on September 8, 1999. Since then, he served in the capacity of a recalled magistrate judge where he continued to assist the court with preliminary proceedings in criminal cases, trial and disposition of misdemeanor cases, pretrial and evidentiary matters, and trial and disposition of civil cases upon consent of the litigants. Judge Rushfelt plans to travel and spend time with friends and family. His great sense of humor and immeasurable wisdom will be missed by the entire court family and the bar.
