In Person Hearings and Trials Scheduled to Resume on April 1

On April 1, 2021, the Court will resume in person hearings and trials as deemed necessary by the presiding judge.  The Court formed a committee of judges to reach out to our stakeholders to hear their concerns and to focus on maximizing the health of trial participants while preserving the integrity of the trial process.  As a result, the Court implemented the standard precautionary measures to mitigate the spread of the COVID-19 in addition to: adding a large trial courtroom in Kansas City; placing plexiglass in select areas; increasing the number of portable Jury Evidence Recording Systems (JERS) available for jury deliberation; and, exploring safer ways to arrange our courtrooms to allow for social distancing.   The Court is scheduled to issue an updated Administrative Order by April 1.
