Former Law Clerk Becomes Kansas Court of Appeals Judge

The District of Kansas is pleased to announce that on May 17, 2022 former law clerk Angela Coble was sworn in as a Kansas Court of Appeals judge.  Judge Coble began her career with the federal court in 1995 as an intake clerk at the Kansas City clerk’s office.  After her departure, she attended law school at Washburn University School Law School and began her legal career in 2009 with Kennedy, Berkley, Yarnevich and Williamson.  She returned to the District of Kansas in 2013 serving under Magistrate Judge Karen M. Humphreys and Magistrate Judge Gwynne L. Birzer.  “Ms. Coble will be an exceptional addition to the Court of Appeals,” Kelly said. “She has the Kansas grit, dedication, and experience, in addition to a strong reputation in her local and legal communities, that will make her an excellent Court of Appeals judge.”  Congratulations to Judge Coble and thank you for your service to our Court.
