~~Participate in Reading the Constitution on Constitution Day!


The Federal Bar Association Chapter for the Districts of Kansas and Western Missouri, in partnership with the United States District Court for the District of Kansas in Topeka, Kansas, is hosting a public reading of the United States Constitution to celebrate Constitution Day on September 17, 2021.

WHERE: Frank Carlson Federal Building and  Federal Courthouse at 444 Quincy Street, Topeka, Kansas 66683  (Main entrance/West side)

WHEN: Friday, September 17, 2021 from 9:30 a.m. to Noon. (Check-in at 9 am, Start at 9:30 am)

WHO: YOU! The public – especially K-12 students – is invited to attend and participate in this event to join the FBA and the Court in celebrating our status as “We the People” and in commemorating the document and law that formed the bedrock of our beloved country.

WHAT: The Constitution will be read in 110 segments that take one minute or less to read for the average reader.

Upon arrival, please check-in on the west side of the building near the main entrance. Signing up in advance is not required but would be appreciated.  Readings will primarily be assigned on a first-come first-filled basis. If you are signing up students and want the assigned parts ahead of time, please write that in the comment space of the sign-up genius or send an email message to the address below.
