Travel and subsistence (per diem) allowances are considered reimbursement for out-of-pocket expenses incurred by the juror. If a juror drives, takes public transportation, or spends the night in a hotel, then the juror has incurred an out-of-pocket expense and is reimbursed by the Court for that expense. Please note that prior approval must be granted for over-night stays.
