Clerk’s Office Hours: The Wichita federal court clerk’s office is open to the public from 9:00-12:00 and 12:30-4:00 Monday through Friday except for federal holidays.  You must have a government issued photo ID to enter the building.  The public may not enter with cell phones, cameras, or electronic devices of any type.  The Wichita courthouse is located at 401 North Market, Wichita, KS 67202 – the clerk’s office is room 204.

Tips for your visit

• You must show a photo ID to enter the courthouse. You must pass through courthouse security. 

• Lawyers, including pro hac vice attorneys, who present photo identification and a current bar registration card from this or any other federal or state court may bring in electronic communication devices (see Local Rule 83.2.4). 

• Photography or audio/video recordings of court proceedings is strictly prohibited. The public may not bring cell phones, cameras, recording devices, or other electronic devices (such as MP3 players).  You will be required to return it to your car. 

• The Court may grant permission to bring cameras in for ceremonial proceedings or court events. Contact the local clerk’s office for more information.  Cameras are allowed at naturalization proceedings.

Parking
The Court is unable to validate or waive parking citations. However, several public parking options are available near the courthouse including the Epic Center garage at the corner of 2nd and Main Street, the public parking lot at the southwest corner of 3rd and Main Street, and the public lot at the far west end of the Municipal Court (tall black city building). Some lots have attendants while most use Mobile Pay. Parking fees vary but on average cost $6.00 per day. Jurors may park in one of the free jury parking spots available at the far south end of the parking lot located directly south of our building. The lot, marked USDC (United States District Court), has 28 free parking spots available for jurors.  They are available on a first-come basis for jurors serving in our court.
